    Nice feather detail here Stuart. I am unsure how much scope you have to extend the crop to the left and bottom - if you can it would be helpful in IMO. I would also take a 5-10% off the top - the result would be the bird's eye higher in the composition. The bright background above the bird's crown is distracting and should be closed over along with the other bigger bright patches. TFS, Ian

    Ian has offered you good advice here, worth exploring. I like the IQ on the bird, and the nice profile look at the long slender bill. Love the ruffled feathers, too.

    Great advise above!
    Love these birds because they are such handsome guys!
    Would be great to see more separation between the bird and BG.
