My pal has been tempting this vixen with tasty morsels and he invited me along, despite being so tame she is very nimble and was never still. It was a constant battle to get a low viewpoint without getting too many grasses in her face. Taken early morning, heavy dew on the grass and her coat.
    All C&C welcome.

Love the wider and low perspective here, Jonathan. Great golden light and vibrant colours in sky, field and fox.
The gaze looks quite focused - was the "morsel" being held out to your left? Do you set up some food in a spot? Does this change natural foraging habits?

Hi Jon, I like the meadow location and a departure from the environment/habitat of Neil's images.

Overall the image is quite saturated in colour, even for early morning, and taking the 'neutrals' (mid point grey) as the basis, I feel the image needs to be pegged back to a slightly more cooler look, also a bit less Contrast helps. The gaze up, stare, and posture of the fox looking up, does convey to me, being 'tempted', as it has lost it wariness of you, but as you say, she has become quite tame.

Thanks for the feedback, the fox is indeed attenuated to humans, she is fed on a regular basis by a number of people. She was looking up as you say because there was a piece of sausage flying in her direction. I did very little to the image in terms of processing and the colours were rich in this light, I do however remember adding contrast, before I make another post I will check out contrast.

Really nice Jonathan, just a personal preference but I would have liked the subject looking at me a bit more but others would disagree. A very very good image though.

Hi Jonathan - I too very much like the meadow habitat and the comp. Will leave color and contrast to others as on travel netbook and it is not calibrated.

Now this shot work better than your latest, simply the composition is better Jonathon. Clone in a butterfly top left and then it might look more "wild" ;) Must be nice to be able to get so close.

Sometimes "saturated" works for me I just love this, it is vibrant and beautiful, although I do admit I would like the little fellow to be less adapted to human environment. Lovely image and it would look so good when printed, makes me think of Andreas's Velvia Great composition, enjoyed viewing, happy to see you posting in Wildlife

Nicely balanced image with great composition. Only a tiny bit too saturated for my liking.
