    Hi Sid,
I like your composition and background. I like the head angle and eye contact. I see alot of noise in the background and on the bird's dark tail...

Gus, I agree. I took these at ISO 640 on my old D70. This is even after I ran it through Noise Ninja. It seems that above 400 the D70 struggles. An excuse for a new camera soon.

A good option for your D70 is to convert it to IR...:D What do you think Sid...

I like the bird and pose Sid !!! Not crazy about the bg !!! The different shades of white are sort of distracting.

Framing wise would have the short end at the left and more space were the bird is looking to !! Very appealing bird !!!... .now you need to get in flying !!!! :)

Like the head angle, background doesn't bother me too much on this one. Gus had a great suggestion for your d70. I just got one converted for IR.

Slight offset in position and additional noise reduction on bg. Thanks for suggestions. The white in bg are the fence rails on the horse pasture.

    Hi Sid
I tried cropping the image so that it was a horizontal image, leaving even more space to the right of the bird. It seemed to work a bit better than the vertical crop and made the bg less distracting.
    I like the bird's position.
