I made a lot of subtle adjustments, and added a canvas texture to make it look like cracked varnish. NIK D/L Center, polarization. Poster edges, and a bunch of textures from Belle Fleur.

Very pretty Jackie. The textures and treatment have created a nice painterly look. I really like the bright background and the central tulip that seems to blend with it.

I really like the cracked look treatment! The lovely paleness of the whites and pinks in the main tulip and the background connect the two very nicely. And I like those 2 hits of hotter pink in the bkgd. The more solid green leaves provide a nice contrast. I love the looking up POV of the main tulip. Your comment about cracked varnish reminds me of the decoupage rage many years ago. I imagine decoupage cracking over time.
Thanks Kerry and Nancy. Nancy, I am glad you noticed those two other accent flowers. I was trying to get it right "in-camera". This flower was on the edge of the bed, and growing backwards towards the light.
I like the cracked texture. It gives an interesting look to the image, maybe some depth. The colors of the main tulip are lovely, as is the graceful curve of the stem. I'm not overly excited about the composition nor the green leaf. i think the leaf is too heavy and solid for the delicacy of the rest of the image. Re.the tulips in the bg: I wish the one that is partly covered by the main tulip, and the ones on the left border were not there. I'd also tone down the background tulip to the left of the big leaf.
