    A chance meeting of this elusive and large Mongoose while I was watching Bee-eater tunnels in Garvao, Central Portugal
    Time for just one frame, hes clocked me and didnt hang around - yay! what a splendid creature.

    Very cool sighting. Nice to have his head turned toward you. I would suggest a bit more sharpening on the mongoose.

    Hi Richard - he certainly blends in to the environment. I didn't know that there were mongooses in Portugal. Not a great bg with all the debris but you did well to fire off a frame and the habitat is what it is. Maybe another round of sharpening on the mongoose. By back focus do you mean back button focusing?

    Nice to see a new species - more sharpening on the subject and perhaps a crop off the bottom to lose that little area of green which is catching my eye.
