Hi Andreas, well exposed on this fellow, and great that his nesting material didnt cover his eye. Ive always enjoyed the colours on their faces.

Brilliantly controlled whites with a lovely added bonus of the nesting material not covering the eye

Hi Andreas, that should bolster the nest nicely.

Might just pull back on the Blue on the neck whites, likewise the saturation of the head, looks a fraction warm IMHO. Good to have the body plumage showing, some nice definition, just watch the halo on the RH side of the upper wing & underneath body/neck. Techs look good, seems they were coming in quite close.

Quite an interesting frame. Love the baby blue background. Are there any more details to be had on the underwing? (Not a big deal, just wondering)

Thanks Guys for having a look and leaving your comments , really appreciated.

Steve you are right with halos (masking issue) , agree on the blue in the neck , but would leave a fraction in because of the blue sky. The warmth in the feathers is coming from the red rocks of Helgoland , so i leave it as is . Just my views

    Thanks and cheers Andreas

Ps .: yes they came in very close, one day one folk got kick down by a gannet flying accidentally in his back.

Beauty shot, the nesting material is a huge bonus. It seems you had some nice soft light.

I love the weed strand wrapping around the head - very neat. The curled feet are cool too. Do you have more room for the composition?

    I really like this.
I would like to see a bit more room RHS and bottom.
The curled feet are great and I like the "square pockets" of feathers on the belly. Looks like little squares of pillow!
The BG is a beautiful color.
You have a fine image here,
    Gail
