I can see why you like this bird!
It is a bit tight in the frame for my taste and I would give the bird more room all around and even more on the LHS to give the bird room to look into.
Good IQ and nice light. I find the green in the BG a bit overwhelming and would selectively desaturate it.
The eye looks great- so nice and clear.
In hindsight, I would have increased ISO to 800 to get more DOF. It might have gotten the foot in focus. But, it is easy to be an armchair critic!!

A decent shot Phillip, especially considering the double glazed filter! I too would like to see a bit more negative space on the left of the frame, but you have captured the face detail particularly well - goldies are very easy to mess up on the face

Gail has nailed the critique, but oh boy this is a beautiful bird...I can see why it is one of your favorite species. Saw some at the local pet store the other day, first time I've ever seen these in a store around here...I prefer to see them wild and free via photographs!

Wonderful detail, and doubly so, through glass! I'd also like to see more on the sides, and less on top. The perch is a bit bright and could easily be selectively toned down with Nik's Viveza.
