Well done getting such a clean shot of a hard to get warbler! I like the water in the bg, the perch and the details. I think the image looks a bit cold and would personally consider bringing some colour into it. Furthermore the eyebrow looks overexposed but it should be quite easy to save in ps.

    Hi Karl,
This guy is indeed a skulker.Great find and nice clear shot with good POV.
I would crop from the bottom to get rid of some of the perch. I feel there is too much perch for the bird.
I would also rework it so that you do not apply NR to the log. In this image, the details of the log have been hurt by the NR.
I also see some cloning artifacts to the left and right if the birds' foot. Easy fix,
    Gail

Hi Karl, the critiquers above have addressed my main concerns, and I'll add that a slightly better HA would have been bonus. Having said this, I have zero images of this species despite trying a few times so I can appreciate the difficulty in getting a clear image like this!

Good job on getting close to this little guy. The crits are mentioned but still a nice capture Karl. Well done

Hi Karl nicely captured in the open, and a coming up from the bottom wont harm the image. I like the colours on him.

Thank you all. Gail, I will redo it from scratch later on or just try an other shot.

Nice clean look at this beautiful bird and I like the overall setting here Karl. Definitely worth reprocessing if you had indeed run NR on the log
