This is an excercise in depth of field control for Fabs' class on the Exposure Triangle; exposure, shutter speed, and ISO settings...:D I though I might share with the rest of my BPN family. This was taken on my dinning room table, in ambient light. The target shot glass that is in focus is the third from the left...
The image was taken with a Nikon D200 and a Nikkor 50mm f/1.4D.
    focal length @ 50mm / exposure mode @ aperture priority / matrix metering / 1/125 - f/1.4 / ISO @ 400 /
    exposure comp @ 0EV / white balance @ auto / AF Mode @ AF-M / color mode @ sRGB / tone comp @ 0EV / hue adjustment @ +2 degrees / saturation factor @ + 3 degrees / no speedlight / tripod / remote fire

    Comments greatly appreciated...

f/1.4 doesnt give you much dof!!! someone posted this link last week and i found it quite nice. it's a dof calculator that is based off your camera model. i'm guessing that image sensor crop factor has something to do with it too.

It does Harold The dof is based on focal length so you add the crop factor!!!

Great idea Gus ...... Love those targets !!!! btw for limited dof might want to try a typed page at an angle or maybe cards !!!
