    Default Grackle Sun-setting silhouette

    A grackle's silhouette set against a gorgeous evening sunset in Florida.
    Taken with a Canon 1D X and an 800mm L lens at 1/320sec ISO 400 af f/8. Exposure compensation of +0.3 steps

    EDIT: Used lightroom 5 and Nicks Color Effect to enhance color and contrast.

    I love the concept and the colors. . I think I just wish a larger bird had landed on the perch!

    Thank you all for your comments. I know Marina. I stayed by this perch over an hour as I know it is a common place for larger birds such as herons, egrets, and even spoonbills to stand on. Alas, not that day :)

    To be honest, it's one of the best bird silhouette shots I have ever seen. Yes, if the bird to perch ratio was better, but this is what this kind of shot is all about. Pretty close to perfect!!
