I took this shot one morning in March from a floating photo hide in Baatsfjord in the North of Norway using a groundpod. Fortunately, I just managed to get all of the right wing in the frame. It has been cropped from 5760x3840 to 4105x3358 to reduce emty space to the right and at the top.

ISO 1250 and 1/500 sec at f/5.0 using my Canon 5D Mark III with a Canon EF 300mm f/2.8L IS USM and 1.4 Extender III (420 mm).

Please let me have your honest critique.

    Regards Steen

Very nice IQ, exposure. I love the rounded chest. The eye and details on the face look great. The blacks look nice and rich. Too bad about the tightness in the frame though, and I bet you clipped the other wing when it was in the better open position too.

Fun image with that amazing belly. I would have liked to see some off of the top and more on the left.

Like the exposure (light), BG and position of the bird. The crop is too tight and I would like to see more room all around (at least LR and B). Cheers! Miro
