Great shot, nice position of the bird. BG color is well balanced and the bird is sharp. Like the eye contact. Little bit more contrast would like to see. Cheers! Miro.

What a very cool looking bird, and you have presented it beautifully. The pose and light were in your favor. The perch is full of character and texture. Love that pointy tail. I am not normally a fan of the squarish crop but it works well here.

Thanks a lot folks, was not sure if I had got this right it was a different ball game with all that sunshine in the Gambia(not a lot in North Lincolnshire UK)found it a bit difficult the light certainly sorted the men from the boys, I fell into the latter category.Did not get a lot more but I have this bird in other poses that I might post at a later date.

    Cheers Keith.

This is a new bird for me and what a beauty!
Love the light and the texture in the perch.
    Great IQ as well.
I like your comp but could see a version with a bit off the LHS.
I really like the way the colors in the BG compliment the colors of the roller.
    Great image,
    gail

Such a gorgeous bird and image. Love the pose the angled light and the simple but beautiful perch. Details are great and the non-competing plain bg is a plus. Nothing against square crops, but I go more vert here. Nice work Keith.
