    Default Cassin's Finch

I photographed this Cassin's Finch in the Sandia Mountains last year. There is a water source up there at about 9,000 feet that all sorts of birds tend to flock to. The 500 with a doubler can give you excellent results.

Great find and details. I would have preferred the bird on the other side of the perch.

Good thing you had the flash as the fill really helps this image. Great detail and color and the BG makes it all work.

Very nice background and details. Agree with bird on other side of perch. But a good head angle will work for me.

    Hey Doug,
1000mm on a monopod!!! Props just for that. I'm pretty sure if he went on the other side you would have loved it.............but as is very nicely done!
