Not an easy image to get. Super nice pose and head angle. Was it flying against strong winds? IQ seems to have taken a bit of a hit IMO (big crop perhaps?), and a bit of work on the eye would make a good difference (darken the pupil, eliminate the extra bit of highlight in the iris at the 9 o'clock position ).

This is a pretty darn good flight shot of a difficult subject. Love the flight pose. Details are lacking a bit as mentioned by DAn, but it's a start and I would be happy.

Thanks Marina and Daniel for the comments.

@Daniel - Its a bit windy, not too much. The shot was taken when the swallow was trying to fly up to its nest under a roof. I guess only the head is in the critical plane of focus. The image is 30% crop.

I fixed the iris as you suggested. PTAL

This is a highly unusual image, not at all easy to get, and worthy of admiration.

tough subject to get in flight, head is sharp but the tail has fallen outside DOF. I like the wing position, good job with the repost

Awesome light, pose and sharpness. Not easy by any means, but you nailed it.

Well done, as I know how difficult these swallows are to catch in flight! TFS
