A lenten rose or hellebore from a month ago. Cons include the square crop and black background, pros are the character. If you are going to take a mug shot, you want it to be of Nick Nolte or James Brown, impaired. I love the ruined character of this variety of hellebore--they look old when young, and beautiful wrecks when old. Not your typical flower.

Great stuff. Done well with the DOF on this one. Thought it was stacked when I fist looked. I love Hellebores too.
    Nice one.

Very nice indeed good focus and exposure DOF is good also. I don't mind the black background but I would really like to see one with a natural (daylight) background.

Hi Ron. This is a very interesting flower, the lighting is lovely, and you have very good overall sharpness! A square crop doesn't bother me - if it fits the subject - and the black background works well here. It will be interesting to see how your new backgrounds look. Very nicely done!
