Oh, would I love to get THAT low and slow! And to have such clear air! I'm stuck with a Taylorcraft and a Stearman. What's your platform and stall speed? Do you have problems with wind buffeting the lens?
I can get in a ultralight when we have our EAA meetings. I mainly shoot out of a Cessna 152 when I am by myself.Configured for slow flight I can comfortably get away with 60 mph but have to add power for turns since stall speed increases. Faster shutter speeds help with wind resistance when outside the cockpit. I love the difference flying low does for viewing the landscape. The 1945 BC-12D Taylorcraft stalls at 38 mph. It can fly backwards in a stiff breeze. (No kidding -- my husband has done it! Me -- I hate wind. And sweating fuel.) I should put some more aerials in Landscape.
