Is there anybody else doing low and slow aerials?

Oh, would I love to get THAT low and slow! And to have such clear air! I'm stuck with a Taylorcraft and a Stearman. What's your platform and stall speed? Do you have problems with wind buffeting the lens?

I can get in a ultralight when we have our EAA meetings. I mainly shoot out of a Cessna 152 when I am by myself.Configured for slow flight I can comfortably get away with 60 mph but have to add power for turns since stall speed increases. Faster shutter speeds help with wind resistance when outside the cockpit. I love the difference flying low does for viewing the landscape. We are blessed with an area were we don't have to worry about the minimum altitude. Enjoy some photos of recent aerials

    Nice views!

The 1945 BC-12D Taylorcraft stalls at 38 mph. It can fly backwards in a stiff breeze. (No kidding -- my husband has done it! Me -- I hate wind. And sweating fuel.) I should put some more aerials in Landscape.
