Canon 5D3, 300mm f/2.8 + 1.4TC, handheld. ISO 800, f/8, 1/2000 sec. Basic LR adjustments and to PS for some Detail Extractor and NR. Cropped to 70% of full frame. From our local rookery. I think I should remove the smaller piece of the twig that just touches the eye -- easy to do.

Now that I've exported the file I see a slight halo on the back of the head -- maybe from the export sharpening? I'll check the master file and fix it if it's there. No time to try another export just now.

    C&C always appreciated!

Good Exposure and sharpness with lots of detail showing. I don't actually mind the twig as I don't think it cross they eye anyway. Well done Diane.

I like the detail and the exposure in this shot Diane. Good look at the red yey and the branch adds interest. I see a little bit of noise in the underwings from bringing back the shaded wings but not bad. Nice IF shot

Very nice capturing one with nesting material in the beak.
