Lovely lighting in this image Dave and a very pleasing composition. Good detail and nice eye contact and a beautiful clean BG with wonderful graduated coloring. Congrats on a very striking image.

Beautiful image, Dave. I like the colors of the bird, perch, and bg. (You might want to clean up those dust spots in the upper left. )

Great find, details and BG. I might decrease the yellows a couple of points, just a bit though.

Lovely photo Dave. Great composition and sharpness. I agree with Axel that desaturating the yellows a little will help bring out the detail in them.

thanks for input Axel and Doug. Actually the yellow breast was much hotter than presented and have desat
yellow a good bit already. Will try a bit more though....that morning first light is very colorful it seems

I like this very much. The BG is fabulous but everything about it is great - pose, light, perch, etc. I'd only like to see a bit more of the tail feathers. The morning dew on the leaves adds to it.

This is excellent, Dave. I love these birds and have never been able to get that near to one. That soft morning light is excellent.
