    Default European Bee-eaters, a couple

    Name: dvije_pcelarice_stacking_0335_n5.jpg
Views: 124

    Canon 5DIII, 600 II L, f6.3, 1/400, ISO200, tripod, natural light.

2 frames, some kind of focus stacking. I switched in a second focus point and merged the half of each frame in PS. No other edits. The full size is: 5029x3585. However I lost some focus on the right bird.

    Location: Croatia, last week.

    Thanks for viewing and comments.

    Cheers! Miro

Gorgeous birds, superp IQ, bg and light. Very nice execution of the focus stacking. My only nit is that the perch falls off focus between the two birds. Nice work Miro

I think i would appreciate the idea , IQ is nice with the stacking only the nit is in between space on the twig being OOF, do you have any more images of the birds you may be able to get the picture which had more focus on the twig and may try and stack that in.
    i love the colours

Thanks, unfortunately I do not have any more frames. My mistake, I was quite sure that with 2 frames will be able to cover DOF. Next time I will have to make the frame of perch. The birds moved position in few seconds too. Cheers! Miro

    Hi Miro,

The stacking has given the image some great depth and the colours are so bright, slight nit covered re mid perch. Great work.

Lovely birs. Nice colors and details. Great to have them both in the frame.

I like the sharpness, colourful birds, HA's, details and BG. I agree with the OOF mid perch comments. Well done.

Hi Miro, brilliant IQ, not to mention the detail, colours and sharpness. What a sweet clean BG that sets both BE's off vey well. Great work with the stacking.

A lovely image, clever stacking of images technique, the soft branch in the centre lets it down. However I would say a nearly impossible shot to get without the two images together would love to have this on my wall.
