Taken on a cloudy, overcast, stormy day on Sanibel Island, Florida last week.
    Canon 1DX
600 mm and 2X converter ( I had been taking pics of a snowy plover when this handsome guy flew in!)
    ISO 1600

97% Full frame. I took a sliver off the bottom
PP: Slight crop, levels, dodged a dark spot in the bottom of frame, DE at 6% on osprey and USM to JPEG. Nothing else.

Wonderful shot, Gail. Nice of him to fly in. Sometimes you just get lucky (and have the skills to take advantage). Terrific low foamy POV, great wing position, and stormy BG.

Sweet pose and a lovely low shooting angle. You got a great opportunity and you nailed it!
Love the flying droplets, the perfect head turn and the immersed tail.
I'd move the bird further into the frame a tad.
    Nicely done Gail.

Awesome image Gail! The detail in the feathers is outstanding and the pose is perfect.
I would also move the bird across to the right - just a tad more into the frame

Nailed composition and a great pose from the Osprey make for a superb image, Gail. Love the eye contact too.

Hi Gail, love the low shooting angle, and well timed to capture the raised wings. Exposure and sharpness spot on, and I too like the flying droplets that are easily seen against the brown feathers. I wouldnt move him into the frame, I would add to the left.

Excellent POV, wings up pose, and IQ, Gail. The water droplets on the wings add interest.

I like this image so much, Gail. Everything you could ask for and then some. Not only can we see the droplets against the wing, but in the stormy BG too. Love his stance in the foam. Extremely well captured image.

Great image Gail! I like the raised wings, low angle, exposure, details and foamy water. I would move the Osprey a little more into the frame as well.

Thank you all for your critique. Here is a repost with 2% canvas added on the LHS and 1% off RHS,
