    Default First Turn Tango

The green flag had just been thrown as this group of sportsman dove into the first turn after roaring down the front stretch. The 51 car lifted, causing the yellow car to tangle bumpers- they were able to separate and retain control without drawing a yellow flag. Ryan Flores, driving the 00, gingerly hits the brakes as he successfully avoids contact.

Topaz Adjust, simplify, bw effects and PSCS6 distortion tools. LR5 for final tweaks. After processing, I realized that the reflection of trees on the roof of the orange is a bit distracting. C&C welcome and appreciated.

Wow, I feel like I have a front-row seat! I know nothing about car racing so I appreciate your description of the action. I really like the motion shown in the tires and the great bright colors of these cars. The yellow road line is a perfect detail for leading the eye through the action.

You've really developed a great technique for these racing images. The distortion works very nicely, and I especially like the high-gloss look and colors of the cars in contrast to the track surface. Super!

The crop being tight echoes how close the cars are together. I really like the distortion and the series you've been doing Randall.

I agree with the comments above. Love the work you are doing with these race cars. You are giving us a feel for the race. Love the colors and shapes. They stand out nicely against the track surface. The only thing I find slightly distracting is the front left wheel of the orange car--it looks too much like the front left tire of 51. I'd like its angle to be just a bit different. A small thing.
