I like the diagonal and the colors. Did you use ReMask to put the subject over a different background? I like where it's located relative to the background colors.

Subject position in the frame is strong, with lots of texture and detail to contemplate. The colors and tones, both subject and BG are excellent. Excellent use of remask, it feels natural.

The colors of the subject and the bkgd are awesome, with a beautiful glow and fine details on the branch and new leaf. This is a very attention-grabbing image with a simple, and dramatic composition.

    Dennis,

That is the original background. This photo was taken late afternoon under overcast skies. It was very flat. What I did was to isolate the leaves with remask, and then use detail & clarity on the leaves. (I am still trying to figure out the different ways that Detail and Clarity render an image...) I then went back and used Detail (In soft mode) on the background so it receded and did not distract.

    Thanks.

    Mitch

Hi Mitch, I really like this image. The leaves and branch stand out nicely from the subdued background. Color palette is quite nice too. Well done! There seem to be endless variations, some of them unexpected, in the Topaz filters. I love exploring them and using them in combination through the photoFXlab application.

Love it! STunning. A bit unreal looking, but who cares.
