    After processing in Lightroom I duplicated the layer twice and used Aquarella and Portrait Painter on separate layers and combined them, then I added 2 textures from 2 Lil Owls.

    I like the angle from which you shot the flower and the texture effects. The combination of colors works very well, too. I realize the degree of saturation is a matter of personal taste, but subduing it would better reveal the detail in the center and veins of the flower.

    Thanks Dennis, here's one with lower saturation. It was too much, caused by Portrait Painter plugin.

    Judy, I like the 2nd one much better. Super saturated reds tend to blow out detail. You've retained enough delicate detail in the flower to compete with the contrast of the background, balancing it nicely. I don't mind the blocked up blacks (lower BG) but do wonder how it would look if they weren't so heavy. Good choice and use of texture, the bee is a plus. Another nice one!
