Caught this white lion cub napping in the zoo section of the Rhino & Lion Park closeby. I just had to capture this 'who cares?' pose. Not too fond of the BG but that's all I've had from this angle.
Hi Tobie - It is a cute pose. I agree with you about the bg. I would further tame the highlights with a luminosity mask. Finally there is a pretty heavy red cast to the image.
Hi Tobie, love the relaxed pose, very chilled out, a pretty cool dude. Unfortunately with captive there is little you can do with BKG, likewise moving left or right in the slim hop to avoid these distractions, it can be more challenging than being out in the wild so you did well. You could 'knock' the BKG back in the hope to reduce the issue, but this in itself can pose issues, not great, but you get the idea below. Just adjusting the Exposure module sliders does bring back some more detail and held with the highlights too. Agree on the cast and a simple fix, but I do think applying the previous suggestions helps to bring out more detail & depth. Was going for a DoF f/4.5 to help the BKG?
Working on the laptop is not ideal, but hopefully the attached may help.

Post Production: It’s ALL about what you do with the tools and not, which brand of tool you use.
LR pp: lowered red & orange saturation, raised exposure to +0.59, cropped out little piece of back paw, lowered exposure to -1 on brigtest spots on cub.
Hi Tobie, it's going in the right direction, but as I'm on an uncalibrated monitor it's hard to give too much feedback, hope others will chime in. Just watch the the highlights along the ridge of the back, looks like some more highlights need to be tamed. Hope all this is bolstering both image shooting & PP too, it's always good to revisit & tweak, this is why it's good to have a PSD file containing all your workings.

Thanks Steve. I won't bet my life on my monitor either but the highlights look fine on this side. Hopefully someone with a calibrated moniitor will chip in too, just to be sure.
Hi Tobie - Definitely in the right direction but still too red from my perspective and, as Steve said, I would try to tame the ridge of the back further and bring out detail where there is none.
Just to wrap up: spent quite a bit of time & effort on this one again and decided to stick to my last version, except perhaps for gabriela's crop (where the cropped out section does not really add any value anyway). All other attempts at sharpness led to an unrealistic looking chap. Thanks for everyone's C & C's!
