Beautifully done, Binu. Not an easy shot. Excellent pose, colors and sharpness. Tad more at the bottom and right, if available would work, but excellent as is too. TFS.

Beautiful image, love the outstretched wings and feet. Techs and processing very good too.

Quite stunning. Love the outstretched feet and the wings-up landing pose. Tell us lots more about the capture. Active AF or preset focus? How was the bird attracted to the perch?

    Thanks everyone for the comments!

Thanks Sidharth! I agree... but there was one more teasel just below those two in the frame and I didn't want to partially include it in the frame.

Thank you for your kind words, Artie!

I used mealworms as described in Alan Murphy's "The Guide to Songbird set-up Photography" (I think I bought it from the Birds As Art online store) After getting a few perching shots, we threw a few mealworms to the ground for the birds. I got this shot while this Bluebird returned to the perch after finishing the worms we offered. I used Active AF and pre-focused on the perch anticipating the action and focused on the bird when it entered the frame.

PS: I got permission from Alan for posting the above details.

That's a killer frame Binu. The pose, the color, the detail and the BG all look awesome. Well done on this setup.

YAW and thanks for the info. We do ask that when birds are baited that it be noted with the original post. Still a quite stunning image! Folks can purchase that CD here.

Sure, I'll do that next time. Though I didn't use the word "baited" in the OP, my intention was to mention that fact as I've noted that it's a "setup".

Thanks Binu. Set-up is a bit vague. Our goal is for folks to fully understand the situation. Some might think that you set up the perch and waited patiently for a bluebird to land on it :).
