    Default Snowy Egret Take Off!

I was crouching down by the edge of the water hoping to get a water level shot of the terns diving for the fish. This guy dropped in for a visit. I figured because of the number of joggers about to go by that he wouldn't stay long. I set up my camera and let out a burst as he took off. This was the only shot where I didn't crop off any body parts.

The original shot had a strong yellow cast due to the reflection from mudbanks at this location and the low afternoon sun. I tried to remove as much of it as possible to get more pleasing colors while retaining faithfulness to the scene. I also added a little bit to the background on the right to give the egret space to fly. Comments and suggetsions are appreciated. Thanks for viewing.

I really like the low point of view you achieved here for this takeoff pose. There is no colour cast visible from my end so your corrections look good. Good pose and water action at the feet. Looks like the image may need a bit of CW rotation, and I do wish you had a tad more canvas above.

    Well done.

A dynamic moment, well-captured. And good detail in the whites. I wonder if it could use a little more sharpening?
