Never too young to start. Fun watching grandsons play. I wondered about the fence but then thought it added a nice texture. Topaz simplify watercolor.

A moment in time captured forever, you gotta luv it. I like the ball suspended in the air, nice work

This is very well done, Hazel. I like the colors and the action (with the ball in view, as Paul mentioned). The composition is superb. The fence is a good element. It helps to impart the ballpark flavor, and -- because it's not too evident, overall, I don't find it a distraction.

The baseball in the air and the boy about to swing make the image for me. I like the watercolour effect too.

I think the fence works because it goes across the entire image. Anyone who has been to a little league game would recognize this view of the game. I like that you include the batter, pitcher, catcher and coach, making a nice action shot.

This works, whereas it might not have if the focus would have thrown one of the elements out. Often when you shoot through the fence, the subject on the other side or the fence go out of focus, but are still visible. In this case, both the fence and subject(s) are clearly visible and do not distract from each other. Nicely done.
