I used dissolve, spatter, and pointillize, to get this impressionist look of these crocuses. Also was a two image overlay in Photoshop and used some distort in Analog Efex for the base layer. Colours enhanced in Photokit Colour Two using Vivid Chrome setting.

You achieved a very nice effect with that combination of filters, and it seems like you thought it out well ahead of time. The color combination works nicely although I'd be inclined to subdue the yellows a bit. I like the strong diagonal and the feeling of depth with the blooms in the upper left being a little less in focus. Did you overlay the same image and shift it a bit or use a different one?

Thanks Dennis, I agree about the yellows, and forgot to do that (it was late when I finished) and thought the yellows were too pronounced. The second image was slightly different from the first. Here I desaturated the yellows, reds, and greens. I like it better as it shows off the purple better IMO.

I like the second one better, too.

Jackie, I like both of them. In fact, I love both of them I love the impressionistic look - very nice and very spring-like.

I love what you did with this image. Beautiful colors and effects. I like the strong colors of the OP, and think it would be my favorite if the yellows and that one bright green leaf were toned down just a bit. I wonder what it would look like with a bit cropped off the left? You achieved a beautiful effect.
