Would have liked a bit more head turn on this little masked creature, but he had his mind set on quickly getting to a large water puddle for a drink. Image capture at a local park in central NJ. All C&C welcome.

D3s, Nikon 500mm + 1.4x tc, 1/500, f7.1, ISO 320, Gitzo tripod, Wimberley Gimbal Head. Removed some distracting branches from FG and BG in cs6.

Always tough to capture these little bandits. The branches and shadows are a bit distracting, but it is representative of the way one normally finds them. Nice bright eye. Yes, a bit of head turn would have been good. It might be worth cropping a little of the tangle off the left to remove some of the distraction.

This was a tough situation, unfortunately the image has many flaws, including distracting elements, shadow, parts blocked and the head that is turned away from us and is also soft. I hope you can get a better one next time.
