Nice owl picture. I wish you had more room on the left.

Yes, I agree with Karl, a bit more room on the left would be good if you have it. I would also reduce the eye-shine from the fill flash. There also appears to be some kind of cloning artifact on the background to the right of the bird's head and some residue from a selection tool above your copyright logo. Otherwise looks good to me.
    Regards, Ian

It is a good portrait of this very handsome owl, Richard. Providing you have, more room would help.

Hi Richard, you were lucky to be able to come so close to this owl. Agreed with the above comments regarding needing for space. Is it a large crop? Otherwise, at 160mm and FF, i would expect to see more details on the feathers around the face. The BG is a bit too dark for me, I assume that was in the shade. I don't know much about flash, so can't comment here. TFS. Loi

That is a beautiful owl, and nice to see it perched out in the open in what looks to be nice habitat. Well exposed, and I am OK with the dark BG. Good perch. A bit of "steel-eye" due to the flash still present in the eyes, and there is a bit of cleaning up to do where you altered the BG.
