    Beautiful capture Karl! Fantastic feather details! Although the bird looks a bit elevated, I didn't mind it as the head angle compensates for it.

    You got some nice ligh, pose and sharpness. I wish the branch was not so prominent though.

    Hi Karl, great details and sharpness. I'm surprised at your choice of F11. Looks like you had pretty strong light for late afternoon, but you handled the exposure well. I'm not crazy about the crop though. i wonder if you have tried an alternate vertical crop. Loi

    I really like this one, Karl...as has already been said, lighting, detail and framing are all spot on, can't fault it.

    I was very close with 700 mm and he moved his tail sometimes and I tried to create enough DOF for that. Vertical might be too tight.

    The light touches the bird nicely. Great exp., and I like the perch.
