I was visiting Madera Kubo B&B, Madera Canyon, AZ where I captured this Magnificent Hummingbird under terrible light conditions which I tried to improve with fill flash. Wasn't too pleased when I looked at it, but decided with processing it for OOTB, I could take some artistic liberties . Took it into PS CC: First I removed the feeder, cropped & re-sized. I took it through the Oil paint filter, and a light touch of bristle, shine and light on everything else. OK, then QM'd the bird, lightened it, and took it back into the OP filter and manipulated it. Took it back into PS, sharpened the bird, flatten the overall, added some contrast. Looking forward to your comments.Oh, BTW, I added the flower.

I like the hummer coming out of the darkness Gus, and the catchlight gives just a hint of definition to the eye. The flower gives the image added punch.
Dramatic colors. The bird and flower pop against the black bg. Good job capturing the bird in this position. For my taste, I'd like less processing to allow for more detail in the hummingbird, especially the head and beak. This is just the type of image for OOTB.
