    Default Snowy Egret with Prize

There was a serious stick shortage at the High Island Rookery. During the two evenings that we watched, the birds were constantly scrounging for nest-building material. The Snowy Egrets were particularly aggressive in their search. Several times we saw a Snowy pair drive a pair of Spoonies out of their nest, and then dismantle it for the building materials. I got some frames of standoffs between the two pairs, but they are visually very cluttered. This guy posed proudly with his prize.

The dark background makes the subject stands out! Very well exposed shot! Love the pose, HA and behavior.

Great detail shown in this Snowy and I like the pose a lot. The bird jumps right off the dark background, very well done. I'd consider removing the upright branch in the lower left.
