Theme: Celestial Lotus

I started with a previously processed black and white lotus blossom and I added a texture over the lotus and then a 2nd texture. Then I placed the lotus over the top of it and then placed same first texture on top of that. I used various blend modes, mostly overlay with varying opacities.

I like what you've done. The colors of the texture(s) and the light tones from the lotus blossom work very well with the dark background. The sparkles add a lot. It's almost like they're stars in a lotus blossom constellation.

Thanks Dennis. Yes I like the way it came out like a constellation inside an opening lotus bud.

I really like the comp Judy and the reflection of the stars in the black. The purple tones are gorgeous.

The lotus bud appears to be raining stars. I agree with Jackie that the glowing purples are most pleasing. I also like the blending of the shadows at the base with the black bg.

I like how you are playing around with textures, Judy. You are achieving some lovely effects. This image has the feel of night magic to it.
