Hi Folks; Long time no see, so to test if I still no how to post, I am submitting this digital Oil Painting using Photoshop CC's Oil Paint Filter at it's defaults. Looking forwards to your comments. Keep smiling . . . Gus

Hi Gus, such vibrant colors! There are'nt too many applications where a "default" setting looks good, but this is an exception as the patetrns created work so well on the flower-making the center almost look like flames. Might be tempted to clone out the blue-grey vertical on the lower left, but that's about it-nice one.

Hi, Gus, it's great to see you back in OOTB! Lovely image - very Van Gogh-ish. Randall made a good suggestion and the repost looks perfect. Hope to see more of you in the future

Hi Gus, glad to see you here again! The OP filter is usually over the top at the default setting but it does work for this image, creating interesting patterns. I like the bright colors of the gorgeous flower.

Nice composition. I agree with Judy's assessment of the default oil paint setting. It works well on the flower and cactus, but a subdued application on the background would be worth trying, I think.

Gus, the color and comp of the cactus and blossom are great. Toning down the bold pattern of the bg may be helpful. Good to see you back.

Hi Folks; Thank you very much for looking and your kind words. I agree with all the comments on the BG, and will give it a go. Will try for a overall muted effect, then QM the subject and go from there. Best regards . . Gus, 90 going on 19.

Nice to see you back again, Gus. I've been AWOL as well for a while, so we can become familiar with the gang again together. Like the image, as usual. Interesting application and the second one does it. The colors and proportions are what gets it for me.

Hi Gus, enough said about the image; I'm so glad to see you here again. Some of us have been wondering what happened to you. Dan Brown and I were just talking about you last week, seems that you live in one of the premier birding spots in the country. Good to hear from you, don't be a stranger!

Beautiful rendition of a cactus flower. I really like what the processing did to an excellent composition. Gorgeous colors. I like the repost. What would you think of toning down or darkening the bright area to the lower left of the flower?
