My Little Owls are back again but I,m not sure if they have eggs or young yet. They are using a different hole in the barn wall this time and I wanted to show it in the shot. Not the best of backgrounds to say the least !! - buts thats the way it is.

Sigma 50-500mm (At cf 480mm) Bit far off but didn't want to get too close at this stage, although they are used to a lot of coming and going in the yard.
    Slight crop.

Fantastic eye contact on this one, JR. I like the inclusion of the nest hole too, it gives a good sense of the birds habitat.

Yes, I noticed it, John. Looks spot on now IMO.

Hi John, the little guy pops so well from the BG, that one hardly notices the brickwork. Sharp with a super pose, and yes, the eye contact says it all.

Wow, you are really getting some sharpness and "pop" from that Sigma zoom....brilliant! (as my friend from Middlesborough would say)

    Thanks all.
Some one did suggest an upright without the nest hole. Not sure . heres one anyway. There is obviously an IQ drop.
