Greetings from India !
Hi to all B.P.N members ,
I am from India and new to this forum .
With having no photography background and being just 3 YR. old in this complex Art, I am glad to mention that Web . has really helped in creating a basic knowledge of Photography in these years. I have recently discovered that my core interest is in shooting Mammals .
I am using D 7000 with ( kit lens ) and lately have invested in new Nikon equipment.
My journey : As a sincere seeker of solace , tranquility and keen admirer of Nature . I have widely explored Indian jungles for the last seven years or so including – Sundarbans, Ranthanmbore ,Tadoba , Rajaji , Sariska and Bandhavgarh . I have intimate memories of my hundreds of visit for Corbett National Park which I still cherish… The colossal vistas and memorable encounters with charismatic fauna with their varied rare behaviours.
‘ I still remember During one of my visits in 2009 to my all time favourite Forest rest house ( Kanda … This F.R.H also finds mention in Jim Corbett’s writings in The Kanda Man-Eater. ) situated on a hillock in heart of Corbett National Park gazing at stars and while completely enjoying the jungle reverberations... a thought ! prevailed upon me to capture and document the magnificent beauty of wildlife and it’s rich habitat , that finally propelled me to enter the domain of photography ,which was essentially the origin of my journey from a regular Nature wanderer to a amateur Nature photographer '.
The only regret I have is that why the thought ! of capturing wilderness with its residents came to my mind so late ?
Nowdays , When I go out & strive for capturing a scene or some action… in Wild . I just recall those varied glorious & rare moments which I witnessed & cherished through my eyes and are recorded in my memories only . Wish I could have understood the value of a tool known as Camera earlier.
Anyways , I truly have belief in a old saying ‘ It’s never too late ‘ .
I wish to participate , learn and improve my skills in Nature Photography & willing to grow old with BPN family.
See you in forums soon.
Regards
Saurabh Singh
