    This palmate newt looks really fed up !
    Bit like me at the moment
    Usual tank set up
    Flash on camera with slave on top of tank both muffled with hankies.
    D7000
    200 ISO
    60th @f16
    Crop from vertical.
    PP in PSPro 7

    John that is a little gem of a shot, love it. I presume you went for this crop for good reason but it would have been good to see his little feet. Love the lighting and exposure.

    Hi John. That facial expression gives this one a lot of "character." This might make a good birthday card for someone not thrilled about getting older (I guess that would be most of us. ) Good sharpness where you most need it and I like the softer light from your diffused flashes!
