One from yesterday with the auto ISO off !
Bit better I think although the Bigma takes some sreadying even on a tripod.
Doesn't look so "enviro" as the other shotwhich is what I really want. I,m working on it.
    NikonD7100

    1000 ISO
    400th sec @f8

80% of full frame. Neat image and curves in PSPro 7
I left the white blobs in which are bubbles/surf on the water surface. Maybe they should gp ? WDYT ?

    Hi John

Nice image of a dipper. You have the head nice and sharp. I just had a look at your last post and the IQ of this one is better. I think I would clone the white patches and maybe do a little noise reduction on the background it looks little noisy above the bird. I have some dipper shots taken last week to sort out and if they are as good as this I will be very happy.

Very nicely detailed lovely colours (just a tad rich for me but that is entirely personal).
Removing the blobs - well it depends nature is not always coffee table top photography, I think they add authenticity - remove them and it is just a dipper against a perfect background and when was the last time we saw that? I say leave 'em be!!

Another beauty, John. I agree with leaving the white bubbles in. Like the overall IQ and PP on repost.

Good job on the repost John. With the bubbles it depends what you want to achive. If your after the mosts artistic image I would clean them, if you want a more natural image to show the true environment then I agree with Jon to leave them. You have a really nice image with or without them.

Hi John, The bird IQ noticeably better than in your previous dipper image. I agree with others that the repost also better and in my opinion the bubbles help provide a little of the environmental context you are looking for. I look forward to seeing some more dippers - I hope everything comes together as you would like. Cheers, Ian

I like the composition, eye nice and sharp, great action of the dipper feeding, my opinion would be to remove the white bubbles.

Thanks guys - appreciated. Had another session but just cannot seem to get what I want, Maybe its the tight feathers being a water bird which make it hard to get pristine detail. The habitat shots are no working because I am shooting against a bank and have not much other choice. If at first ...
Anyway the Little Owls are back so stuff the dippers !!!(Joking )
    Thanks again.
    John
