    Came across this youngster in a small pond by the side of the road in Bolivar Flats Sanctuary last week. I've never seen an almost-white one before, and I'm assuming he must be a first-year bird.

    D7000, 700mm, ISO 800, 1/4000s @ f/7.1 manual. (Don't ask why I didn't lower the ISO instead of raising the SS -- except when I'm in a hurry the SS is a one-button fix on the D7000 and the ISO is two.)

    Hey Bill lovely image, nice soft colour palette and a cracking BKG. Good detail where it counts and I like the HA on this one, just the right amount of head turn for me. I think you could afford a little off the LHS without compromising things, WDYT?
