I capture this image along Black Point Wildlife Drive in Merritt Island National Wildlife Refuge, Merritt Island, Florida. I think this is the Greater Yellowlegs but it may be the Lesser, hard to tell from the length of the bill.

Very nice reflection, just a hint of ripples but effective. Good comp. I might try a version with the bird moved a smidge to the left (more room on the right)
The detail around the eye area looks a bit soft. How big of crop here?
Thank you all for viewing and commenting. The crop was from horizontal to vertical. The camera was mounted on a monopod with only a short extension of the leg. The only reason I can think of for the perceived softness would be shimmer off the surface of the water. Early morning, hardly a breeze to stir the atmosphere.

Sometimes if the head is wet it can give a similar look, but the eye doesn't look crisp either, so unclear what the issue is. Sometimes they just don't turn out crisp. The bill looks good. Any chance of a micro adjust problem for that lens/camera combo?
