Wonderful composition Alan. The perch, background and the light compliment well the beautiful little bird.
    Regards, Ian

Alan while the image is superb in all respects, did you consider a 3 x 2 crop with the bird lhs, extended canvas rhs and only a small amount of that magnificent perch? All making that stunning bird the centre of attention.

Lovely shot idyllic pose, is there a yellow/green cast? I just did a quick white balance, I think there is??

Thanks Colin, I was on the fence about a tighter crop and went with this one. It does have a couple of options IMO.

Hey Jonathan, that for pointing that out. It was a quick process on my laptop with tired eyes :-) I see the whites have a cast.

Nit covered what a striking bird and pose. The backdrop does seem a little saturated but thats maybe how it was .
    Fine image.

Beautiful Maggie, doing his best to compete with that large perch. I think he's succeeded. Although I agree there might be other crop options. Great light, pose, techs, bg.

Awesome pose with a great flared tail. I see these guys often enough up here but have nothing as far as images...perhaps this year will be different!
