    Default Black-Throated Sparrow (2)

Had another great day at the local trail. How great? 800 + photos of the same exact bird great. About 5 different natural perches that this guy landed on, and I just tried different things on each one. So nice to have a cooperative bird!

This is probably one of my favorite of the perches, and he only landed on it once so I'm glad I got him singing on it.

Nice golden light. I wish the tail of the bird was more in focus than the perch. Because of that, it is overpowering the bird a bit. A bit of head turn would have been better.

Wonderful capture. The light and two-tone background bring a special quality to the composition made even better by the bird calling. Thanks for sharing.

You captured a beautiful singing pose of this handsome bird, Miguel. The background and the perch fits the bird very well.

Hi Miguel, I can see why he perched where he did. I like the high placement in the frame, and you have brought out the finer plumage detail nicely. Good singing pose with the open beak, and the colours of the BG compliment the bird nicely.

Excellent perch, BG, and fof course subject. A better head angle would have made this even better. I imagine audio was used?

Daniel, audio was used to initially attract him, but then we had two singing to each other (or so it seemed) about 20 ft away. We stayed with this one since he was in front of us (light coming in from behind).

Another nice shot of one of my favorite sparrows Miguel. The singing pose looks great and the varied BG adds allot to the image, but the perch is the star, its Perfect!
It dosnt look like its the DOF that has made the tail a bit soft, i think it is from some movement at that lower shutter speed as everything else looks sharp. Nice work.

Miguel I think You got some sweet light here,

I like the pose, light the perch adds so much, yeah HA could be better and the tail tip more in focus but I would be happy with this.

In my personal opinion the bird could use a little more contrast. It wold do a lot of good to the bird itself but also to the subtle colors on the beautiful perch.

Also some more space above and in front of the bird since it has stretched its head and neck out for calling/singing.
