    This was the female's first appearance for me to photograph her looking out the cavity. That was my first time seeing her this season. Shot from a distance away on the roof top, eye level.
    1Dx, 600mm II, 1/200, f/13, ISO250, dual flashes, Manual.

    Hi Troy, excellent use of flash - very subtle. Great eye contact and love the ear tuffs.

    I like the eye contact, IQ, composition and colour of the bark compliments the owl well. Excellent image Troy!

    This was the first night I photographing this nest. It took her a while to appear and she had her tufts raised at first and then she just kept looking out of the nest for a while.
