Here's another Hermit Thrush that posed nicely for me the other day. They are rather quiet at this time, but once they start singing it is arguably the prettiest song of the forest!

The BG is grayish sky at top into distant leafless dogwood bushes.

Canon 7D + 500mm f/4 II + 1.4TC, manual exposure, evaluative metering, 1/1000s., f/5.6, ISO 800, natural light, handheld, cropped for composition, a few twigs cloned out at bottom left.

    Lovely little fella!
Nice sharpness, light and with a cool pose. For some reason my eye would prefer to see this one a tad higher in the frame.

Beautiful image Daniel! I like the pose, HA, IQ, perch and how the lower BG compliments the colour of the feet. Composition wise I like how the perch runs through the bottom third of the frame.

Very sweet Daniel. Great looking bird and killer BG. Pity about the oof perch, but still a lovely image

The great work just keeps pouring out of you! Love the BG colors and the proud pose. Before I read any comments, I noted that the bird could be slightly higher and farther left in the frame. Seems Juan Carlos Vindas had a similar idea.

Great Shot! Love the beautiful gradient background, well defined highlight tones and very clean shadow details. Very good choice of white balance.
Initially, I too felt the bird could have been placed a tad top left, but that might make the perch look dominant.
