Wonderfully clean shot. Beautiful BG and action.
May be, you could have left more space at the top than the bottom of the frame.

Stunning image. Lovely perch and BG and great to have a berry in the thrush's mouth! If it was mine I would give more space at the top and take away from the bottom. TFS

Wonderful setup. A bit tight IMO on the top but otherwise a very sweet image.

Beautiful set up; love the colors and the pose. Certainly needs some more room on the top. TFS.

I agree more room above would be favorable, but I really like the setup, BG, berry in the mouth. Not sure you needed ISO 1600 but it sure is not an issue with the 1DX!

Killer set up. Love the perch and the berries. THe light is awesome and to top it all off, you have a berry in the bird's beak!!! If you have the room, I would try for a recrop to improve on an already super image.

Thanks everyone for all the C&C! As you all suggested, I've added more room on the top.

Thanks Daniel! I used a higher ISO setting as I was expecting some action while shooting this Hermit Thrush. But as you mentioned, ISO 1600 setting is not an issue with the 1DX as I don't even need to do NR if the shots are not under exposed.

Super image, but the re-post with more on top works even better. Well done!

I really like the IQ and light in this, and of course, the berry in the beak puts this up a few notches. Comp wise, I wouldnt have cut of the bottom as you have done in your repost - I would just add to the top.

Killer pose and overall setup. The comp in the report is much better, but another vote for not cutting through the bunch of betties on the botom. Well done Binu. Where was this photographed?

Thanks for the input, Stuart! I cropped it that way to retain the aspect ration. Initially I cropped it with less room on top as I wanted to include the berries on the bottom of the frame and also wanted to retain the 6:4 aspect ratio. I processed it again as you and Sidharth suggested.

Thanks Sidharth! I really appreciate your C&C! We did this setup in my friend's backyard.
