    A bird listed as threatened in the state of New South Wales, eastern Australia. This one flew over my front yard today and I rushed and grabbed the camera and snapped a couple of shots.
    5D3 100 - 400 @ 400 f6.3 1/2500 ev +1 iso1600 (the bird has a white edge to the tail!)

    You did pretty well considering the situation. Lovely patterns and details under the wings...just wish the face was not so bright. Also a dust spot to remove in LRC.

    Thanks Daniel. Not helped by the fact that in real life the bird has a very light head.

    Really like your comp and the underside view here! Agree on the light head,although I think you could do some burning to the head and see some improvement in the image overall.
