    Hello,

    I've been working these crested greebes, thus that's what I'm posting. I expect not to bother anyone :)

    Handsome bird, soft background, shooting angle.

    Wish he was turned more towards us and that the near wing didn't block so much of his neck and breast.

    The comp works well for me.

    good comments by Randy, he also seems a bit soft and I wish you had some detail in the blacks

    Thank you both for the feedback. I have these 2 photos with the neck exposed and one with the bird more towards us (it's a vertical crop from an horizontal photo).

    Unfortunatelly both have a loss of detail in blacks :(

    Tiago:

    The last image, with him facing forward, is my favorite. There is a little noise in some of the darker greens of the bg, not really objectionable. His slight leaning forward pose would also work with the original horizontal framing I would think.

    I'm with Randy, I like the 3rd image best. The composition could be better by cropping a bit from top, but I do prefer this image.
