Default Theme: Inside the Lotus Blossom

I had previously done this image a few weeks ago and I took that one with dark vignette and desaturated it a good bit. Then I added 2 textures plus a texture for a background frame effect. I also changed the hue/sat on the background texture as well as lowered the saturation a good bit on the texture with music as it was too gold/yellow. And I did some layer masking on the texture over the flower.

Here's another version that I used Exposure 5 on with a faded color preset to lower the saturation. Then I used 2 textures differently than the the OP with different blend modes and opacities giving a different look and no background frame.

Hi, Judy, I think the OP fits the theme a little better. Great textures and I love the open view of the inside of the lotus.

Judy, I like the original also for its brighter look and frame. Really nice use of the textures as always! I love the glow.

Yes, the first has a glow. the second, more contrast, but I like the glow. Fine use of textures.

Thanks Cheryl, Kerry and Hazel! Yes I like the OP better too. I'm glad I re-worked it after creating the other one which is a lot darker.

Love them both! Love the lined look of the inside the flower, and those gorgeous petals. I have a slight preference for the first image. The textures work beautifully. The dark bg makes the flower stand out. I wouldn't change a thing.

Agree with above, the OP has depth and is a touch more interesting, though I might try it without the black outer border. The soft glowing colors really bring this one to life!

Thanks Anita and Randall! The black outer border is part of the texture Randall.
