    Default Black-Throated Sparrow

Doug and I had a chance to head out to one of the local trails and we were greeted with a very cooperative BT Sparrow. He went from great perch to better perch, all set up by mother nature. It's like he knew how to position himself and all we had to do was take advantage of the photo opportunities. This is one of many calling poses that I got from today. Hope to head back tomorrow for some more!

The calling pose really adds a lot here, as does the perfect perch and color palette.

Beautiful how the colors match between the bird/perch/BG. Very nicely done.

Beautiful frame of one of my favorite Sparrows. It all came together nicely here and the detail and the perch look great. That new gear has really made a difference in your photography. Nice work.

Thanks david. WHEN you come to ABQ we can take you over to the spots to get some photos of these guys.

While le the new gear has helped (definitely more consistently sharper frames), I'd say Doug probably had a lot to do with the difference in my photography results.

    Miguel,

I was going to mention that fact but I didn't want you to think that it was taking away from your own photography skills.
There is no better way to learn than too associate yourself with a quality photographer like Doug and keep your eyes and ears open.
It's how I've learned everything in my life, hanging out with the people I respect in the field that I'm interested in.
    Take care.
